Equita Lyon is a flagship European horse event combining a trade exhibition, international equestrian competition, family activities, and industry exchange across sport, breeding, horse welfare, education, and lifestyle.

Held at Eurexpo Lyon, the event spans about 140,000 square metres and operates 11 continuously active arenas. The 2025 edition gathered nearly 200,000 visitors and 850 exhibitors and breeders, connecting professionals and enthusiasts through breeding and horse sales, health programming, start-up showcases, and children's activities.

This area highlights French breeding expertise, breeder associations, and horse trading activity through the daily parade of more than 40 breeds, the Selle Français 3-year-old championship, and horse sales sessions for sport and leisure horses in Hall 5 and Equita Sport.

Equine HealthWelfareConferences

Located in Galerie 6, the Health Area serves riders, breeders, and horse lovers with information on common equine pathologies, preventive care, and rider health, supported by conferences, demonstrations, and a 2025 virtual-reality equine operating theatre experience.

InnovationHippoliaStart-ups

Developed with Hippolia, the Start-up Village brings together selected young companies presenting products, services, and innovative concepts. Visitors can vote for the start-up of the year, making the area both a showcase and an industry networking and incubation platform.

Pony RidesFamily ActivitiesKids Workshops

The Children's Village reserves about 1,500 square metres for children aged 3 to 12, offering pony rides, drawing, sculpture, games, and other family-oriented activities that introduce younger visitors to horses and equestrian culture.
