MTM Expo Shanghai is a professional expo covering the steel and metallurgy industry chain, originating from the Shanghai International Metallurgical Industry Exhibition founded in 1986; after nearly four decades of development it has become an exchange and procurement platform for China's steel and metallurgy industry chain, and this edition marks its 40th anniversary.
The expo is jointly organised by Baosteel Group, the All-China Metallurgical Chamber of Commerce and the China Refractory Materials Industry Association, among others, and features eight themed sections: metallurgy, refractories, casting and forging, industrial furnaces and thermal engineering, steel pipes, metal wire, and titanium, magnesium, copper and alloy materials, presenting raw materials, refractory and auxiliary materials, metal plates, pipes and profiles, castings and forgings, die-casting and forging equipment, heat treatment and industrial furnace technology, and steel pipes, wire, stainless steel, non-ferrous metals and related production and processing equipment.
The previous edition brought together 930 exhibitors and welcomed 31,589 professional visitors from 66 countries and regions, including 4,138 overseas visitors. This edition is expected to welcome around 40,000 professional visitors, including more than 4,500 overseas visitors, further expanding global resources.
