Edition31 Bringing together furniture production, woodworking technologies, and interior supply chains, connecting suppliers with global home manufacturing buyers.
interzum is an international professional trade fair for furniture production and interior design, held in Cologne every two years and bringing together brands, manufacturers, material suppliers, component companies, equipment makers and design and engineering decision-makers from the furniture supply chain.
Focusing on innovative materials, smart technologies and smart components, the fair is organised around solutions for future living and working spaces. Its three main sections - materials and nature, function and components, and textiles and machinery - cover wood and surface materials, furniture hardware and fittings, lighting systems, upholstery materials, and mattress and upholstery manufacturing machinery.
Themed 'Beyond Boundaries: Enhancing Strategic Resilience', the fair presents innovation across the entire value chain and uses several trend forums to address topics such as bio-circular materials, digital product passports and furniture redesign; product awards and accompanying activities provide further trend reference for the industry.
The previous edition gathered 1,600 exhibiting companies from 57 countries and 60,000 visitors from 157 countries, with 176,000 square metres of exhibition space.

interzum 2027 takes place from 11 to 14 May 2027 in Cologne, Germany.
Visitor opening hours are Tuesday to Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The fair is held at Koelnmesse, Messeplatz 1, 50679 Cologne, Germany, in Halls 1, 4.2, 5.2, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10.1, 10.2, 11.1, 11.2 and Confex.
Stand space is charged per square metre: EUR 339.00 per sqm from 1 November 2025 to 31 March 2027 and EUR 389.00 per sqm from 1 April 2027; prices are net and exclude VAT, the energy flat rate and the AUMA fee.
The minimum stand size is 12 square metres and the participation fee is calculated on the exact dimensions of the allocated stand area.
Koelnmesse can be reached by train, car, plane and public transport; the Koeln Messe/Deutz station is directly next to the grounds, with suburban trains S6, S11, S12 and S19 at the South entrance and tram/underground lines 3 and 4 at the East, West and North entrances.
