SIMEC (Saudi International Marine Exhibition) is a professional marine exhibition held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, organised around the fishing, aquaculture, seafood and algae industries and presenting related sectors together on one platform.
The show is promoted by relevant bodies and aims to highlight the importance and sustainability of the fisheries sector, make full use of untapped aquatic resources to drive related economic fields, and, drawing on Saudi Arabia's location connecting the Red Sea and the Arabian Gulf across three continents, bring together international experience and global expertise, focusing discussion on topics such as aquaculture and marine fisheries.
The show focuses on aquaculture, marine fisheries and related maritime industries, presenting cutting-edge products and farming technology, and is Saudi Arabia's first professional exhibition dedicated to fisheries, aquaculture and related maritime activities. Exhibitors and visitors include solution, equipment and training companies, universities and research institutions, importers and exporters of fresh and frozen aquatic products, and environmental consulting bodies. On site it arranges B2B meetings between exhibitors and invited buyers, and features chef-led seafood cooking and tasting and farmed fish and shrimp displays.
Concurrent activities include workshops, B2B, a Hosted Buyers Program and Master Classes for business meetings, technical exchange and investment matchmaking, building a cooperation platform for importers, exporters, investors, fisheries managers and research institutions.
