Fishing Festival 2027
Edition16 An Austrian fishing trade event covering tackle, fly fishing, boats and outdoor gear for brands, distributors and dedicated angling buyers.
Fishing Festival is a professional event in Austria for angling and fly fishing enthusiasts and trade buyers, held in Wels, presenting new products and technologies from established tackle brands and covering leisure and professional anglers.
The fair focuses on freshwater angling for predatory fish, catfish and carp, and on fly fishing, with rods, reels, lines, hooks and accessories, extending to boats, sonar technology and outdoor clothing; exhibition space is around 6,000 square metres.
A fly fishing pool and demonstration tank let visitors watch the fine movements and techniques of fly casting and see demonstrations such as fly tying; exhibitors also explain modern fishing equipment so visitors can understand product features and use.
With the Upper Austrian Fisheries Association, the show sets up a 'Fishing Village' area offering local fisheries information, regulations, knowledge on sustainable and legal angling, and training opportunities, and answering questions on fishing licences; fish cooking demonstrations and tastings feature preparations such as pike-perch around the annual fish theme, combining professional exchange and culinary experience.
The show runs alongside an archery exhibition and a bicycle exhibition under a shared ticket, offering a concentrated visiting setting for anglers and a wider outdoor audience.
