Austria's most-visited equestrian trade fair takes place from 6 to 9 May 2027 at Messe Wels, in the West exhibition centre in Halls 20A to 20F, Show Hall 19 and Outdoor Area E. Opening hours: Friday and Saturday 9:00–18:00, Sunday 9:00–17:00. The "Nacht der Pferde" horse show starts at 19:00 Thursday to Saturday and at 10:30 on Sunday; doors open 30 minutes before each show, with seats reserved at ticket purchase.
PFERD Wels takes place at Messe Wels, Messeplatz 1, 4600 Wels. The exhibition areas and supporting programme are in the West exhibition centre in Halls 20 A to 20F, Show Hall 19 and Outdoor Area E. Hall 19 is restaged as the show hall for the "Nacht der Pferde" and is used for further high-calibre supporting events during the day.
A one-day adult ticket costs EUR 18.50. A reduced one-day ticket costs EUR 17.00 and is available only at the on-site ticket counters, not in advance sale; it applies to young people aged 14 to 18, students up to 24, military and civilian service members, people with disabilities on presentation of ID, groups of 10 or more, adults (parents) on presentation of a family card or pass, adults (grandparents) accompanied by grandchildren on presentation of a family card or pass, and the ÖVV reduction. A children's ticket for ages 5 to 13 costs EUR 12.50, and children under 5 enter free. Two-day fair tickets are available for adults (EUR 32.50) and children (EUR 21.50), both in the online ticket shop and on site. Adult visitors arriving by public transport receive the reduced admission price of EUR 17.00 instead of EUR 18.50 throughout the fair from 6 to 9 May 2027; the reduction is available only at the on-site counters and applies to all valid OÖVV tickets.
Tickets for the "Nacht der Pferde" can be booked online with fixed seats and easy admission. Prices vary by seat: adults from EUR 52, children up to 13 from EUR 40. Children under 5 enter free but do not have their own seat (they sit on a lap). Dogs are not allowed at the show.
Each VIP table for the "Nacht der Pferde" in Show Hall 19 is directly beside the arena, seats up to four people and costs EUR 340.00 per table including VAT. VIP tables 1 to 9 are on a raised tribune. Online reservation is available. Two-person VIP tables can be booked on request; please email k.derflinger@messe-wels.at.
Besides the extensive exhibition programme, the fair offers a varied supporting programme: sport and tournament events, sales and breeding shows, the Western Horse Show with live training, expert lectures in the expert forum and the four "Nacht der Pferde" shows in Show Hall 19. Sport and tournaments: national CSN-A* show jumping with a pony standard jumping class, Western Horse Show Wels with AQHA, NRHA, NSBA and OEPS-National (ZNS), and a national vaulting tournament. Sales and breeding shows: AWÖ sales show, Austrian Riding Pony "from childhood dream to sport partner", leading-rein pony class, and breed focuses. Four "Nacht der Pferde" shows: three evening shows starting at 19:00 and one family show on Sunday starting at 10:30; doors open 30 minutes before each show with free seating. Expert forum and live training with Bernd Hackl, Katja Schnabel and others.
Climate bonus — reduced admission with an Öffi ticket: all adult visitors arriving by public transport receive the reduced admission price of EUR 17.00 instead of EUR 18.50 throughout the fair from 6 to 9 May 2027; present the Öffi ticket at the on-site counters. All valid OÖVV tickets qualify, including the KlimaTicket OÖ, monthly tickets, the OÖ leisure ticket and normal single tickets. Bus: Wels city bus line 1 (main station/Kaiser-Josef-Platz towards Noitzmühle), alight at Kienzlstraße/Messe Wels; bus line 16 (main station/Kaiser-Josef-Platz towards Schwimmbad), alight at Kienzlstraße/Messe Wels or the Schwimmbad terminus. Direct by train: the Almtalbahn runs from Wels main station directly to the Messe Wels site; all shuttle trains are low-floor and accessible and offer 120 seats each.

Chargeable parking (daily rate EUR 6) is available at the Trabrennbahn, marked as "P-Besucher" on the plan. New: ticketless parking with licence-plate recognition at the Trabrennbahn. If you are directed to areas with other entrances, chargeable parking (daily rate EUR 6) is also available there; the fee is collected in cash at the entrances by the security staff.
The charging stations are next to the Rotax hall. The car park entrance is chargeable, while the charging stations are free of charge. Available connector: 11 kW. This offer is intended for purely electric vehicles. Please use the charging stations only when you need a top-up for the journey home, leave a clearly legible phone number for when charging is complete, and use the space only while charging.
